About MFnR
Below: Many years ago, Pia and I participated at the St. Patrick's Day parade with the Inland Northwest Llama Association's group. This picture inspired the MFnR logo, and Pia continues to influence me each day.
The year 2020 did the same thing to me that it did to many others: it commanded change. My savings account exhausted, my body overtrained, and my need for productive work rekindled, I closed the chapter on my triathon pursuits. I refocused my energy on serving others with physical therapy, and with much excitement, I returned to a passion I'd long since shelved 10 years ago when I went away to college: llamas.
I look back on my experiences with all my animals and am grateful. Though none of them will ever leave my heart, one in particular claimed a special place. Poplar Lane Pia and I shared many memories of experiences that involved everything from going camping and carting with a fun group in Farragut State Park, driving in the St. Patrick's Day Parade through downtown Spokane, showing together in every possible halter, performance, showmanship, and costume class available, and winning her way to recognition in the ALSA point system.
Now, I have survived college, married my husband, traveled the world racing triathlon, enjoyed (and continue to enjoy) training and showing my dogs, and I am ready to return to the thrill of llamas. Though the endeavor is not completely far fetched because I have prior experience with these amazing animals, I now have many friends (and a husband!) who never knew me as "a llama lady." I also get the pleasure of starting a program of classics by investing in the best and oldest bloodlines through Jeff and Niki Kuklenski's program. As a kid, I always admired her llamas, so you can imagine how excited I am to obtain the offspring of some of the best llamas in her program as I build up my own foundation herd. It has truly come full circle.
MFnR llamas officially started in the spring of 2020, the year everything changed. The first foundation females from the working classics at JNK Llamas arrived one year later. So begins my next chapter ...

What is a life with llamas if they cannot be shared with others? My animals--all of them--add subtle and beautiful embellishments to mine.
